Executive Director/Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Nancy Wagner received her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis in 1985 and has worked continuously in the field since that time. Her early exposure to children with autism included working in a highly successful research project using an ABA format. She has worked in a variety of settings applying behavior analysis techniques in early childhood programs, state institutions, group homes, school districts, private schools, churches and with families in their own homes. Nancy has also provided leadership in various agencies serving both children and adults with developmental disabilities.Taking an active part in the community has always been an important part of Nancy’s life. She has served as a volunteer in many ways including coaching youth sports for over 15 seasons, working in both Girl Scout and Cub Scout Day Camps, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, and serving on committees to support these activities. Other community involvement to support people with disabilities includes serving on Boards of Directors such as The Arlington Mayor’s Committee on People with Disabilities and Helping Restore Ability.
Elicia Cook, M.Ed, BCBA / Therapist
Elicia was one of the first employees of ABA Academy and has been working in various aspects of children’s education, primarily with learners with special needs for over 25 years. She has provided ABA therapeutic services to young children with autism for almost 15 years. Other related work experience includes working as a house parent in children’s homes, experience in helping support families engaged in foster and adoption and working in vocational settings with people with disabilities. Her area of special interest is combining ABA and teaching communication skills. An additional area of interest is teaching people how to support special needs families, and she enjoys speaking at various community organizations. She received her bachelor’s degree in ABA with a minor in Speech from UNT and her Master’s of Education in the Foundations of Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Jessica Kidd, M.Ed /BCBA/ Therapist
Jessica, began as a practicum student in the fall of 2009. Her positive attitude and consistency with our young clients adds to the fun. Her positive attitude is infectious and the whole clinic is affected by her enthusiasm. Jessica received her bachelor’s degree from UTA and completed her Master’s of Education in the Foundations of Applied Behavior Analysis from University of Cincinnati. With over 7 years of experience with kids on the autism spectrum, she is knowledgeable and fun.
Theresa Eli/ Admissions Coordinator
Often the first voice you hear when you call us is Theresa’s. Her experience with her own sons, bring a special knowledge to our office. What a blessing she is to us as she works with parents, insurance companies, and staff to advocate for the families we serve.
Vicki Vinson, B.S. / Assistant Executive Director
Vicki brings over 30 years of working in various aspects of health and government agencies. She has worked extensively with children and adults with a range of physical and intellectual limitations. Vicki brings a wealth of information to ABA Academy and works with the families to coordinate support and care. .
Heather Harrison, M.Ed / Therapist
Heather completed her undergraduate degree in ABA from UNT and her Master’s of Education in the Foundations of Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati. Her excellent organization skills, love of sports and expertise in developing craft projects have enhanced our program for our young clients. Her technical expertise has grown rapidly and she has completed all requirements to obtain her BCBA and is planning to test soon. With over 7 years of experience with kids on the autism spectrum, her skills are solid and she makes learning fun.
LaSheka Eddens, M.Ed./Therapist
LaSheka completed her Master’s of Education in the Foundations of Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati. Her experience as a parent and having close family members affected with Autism, help her to have compassion and understanding from the parenting perspective. Her love of kids, sports and the science of ABA contribute to her excellent team and therapy skills. She has completed all requirements for the BCBA and will be testing soon.
Devon Camp, M.S. completed her masters in Counseling from DBU and has worked with kids for several years. Her love of kids, people skills and eagerness to learn ABA contribute to her skills as one of our top therapists.
Laura Garza, M.S. completed her masters in Counseling from DBU and has worked with kids for several years. Her love of kids, people skills and eagerness to learn ABA contribute to her skills as one of our top therapists. Her life experiences contribute to her understanding of the impact a spectrum diagnosis has on the whole family. She is studying to take her LPC test in the near future.
Shelbi Dillahi, B.A. is completing her masters in the near future. As a part time youth pastor, she impacts lives for Christ in all that she does. She has been a member of the team for several years and is one of our top therapists.
We have a number of therapists who have been with ABA Academy for over several years and are constantly growing new skillful therapists. Everyone here recognizes the critical role we play in each child’s life and in the lives of their families. How blessed we are to have wonderful staff to carry out our mission!
We are happy to contribute to the autism community through providing a practicum site for students of applied behavior analysis. Each semester we are privileged to have several students who contribute greatly to the academy while learning about autism and ABA treatments. Supervision of future BCBAs is an important goal of our agency. We currently hold a graduate level lab one day a week to enhance the graduate programs our staff are completing.
